It’s been a while since we last had a day in the office post on the blog, partly because we’ve been so busy lately getting ready for Awesomefest (did you notice the countdown timer above?) and partly because Al has been away filming and generally hooning about. A lot has happened over the last few months – we’ve taken on more staff, expanded our product range, blown up an engine, finished off the TrackCulture V10 E46 M3 and most importantly we’ve been finalising the little details that will make Awesomefest the best weekend of the year for the Driftworks community. So where do we start?
The biggest change within the last few months has been the departure of our Paladin Logistics Manager Nick, who was the guy who always made sure your Driftworks order was delivered on time and included some goodies. Nick has started an adventure that will eventually see him in sunny Australia, but thanks to Attai’s graffiti genius the Driftworks warehouse will always have a tribute to Nick on display to say thanks for hard work and laughs over the years.
Taking over the Logistics Manager’s role is Bamber, seen here getting stuck in picking orders. Bamber brings with him a wealth of Corolla/BMW and logistical experience, and he has had no trouble fitting right in since he is already good friends with the team.
He also runs the rather superb Corolla Brotherhood blog.
Bamber also brings with him another BMW to the car park, and its one of the cleanest E36s I’ve ever come across…
Bon’s E46 330D and my E36 328, and James’ E61 530D are part of the BMW fleet at DW HQ…
But Phil’s E46 V10 M3 is clearly king of them all, and is back from the Redline photo shoot (see the next issue for the feature) at Millbrook.
Another new staff member at Driftworks this month is Dan, who has been working on both the S15 and R32 in the last couple of days.
Dan’s addition to the DW car park is a little bit more unusual compared to the rest of the cars here… A Triumph 2500 PI!
Its going to be a busy month for us preparing for Awesomefest, but for you its all really straightforward. Buy your bargaintastic £45 weekend ticket (day tickets also available), grab some track time and enjoy the best weekend of the summer!
Hell’s bells, I’ve only been away 3 weeks and it’s all changed. 😀
That E46 is to die for i love it!!!
…blown up an engine??? 🙁
Mr Scene Sticker! :Thumbs up:
