Calin Ciortan is one of the toughest upcoming european drifters at the moment, and anyone who’s battled against him can confirm that is true. He’s been drifting since 2008, when he started off with a turbocharged 3.5 liter powered E30. He quickly switched to V8 power, and by 2010 he was already using the M5 E39 V8 engine. He sadly broke 2 of these engines because of badly set up maps, and he moved on to a Nissan Skyline R33. The R33 was running about 500 horsepower , but was always creating some sort of issues, and japanese parts are a rarity in Eastern Europe.
It took one year to build the car that you can see in the movie, a car that’s often looked upon with great interest from fellow enthusiasts wherever it goes to compete at. 2012 was a pretty unlucky year, but he did his best to get as high up in the rankings as possible, finishing in 5th overall. The car will be revamped for 2013, with more horsepower, less weight, better fabrication as Calin will once again aim for the title of King of Europe . Enjoy your view!
