Now in stock, and ready to buy in the Shop – As part of our ongoing product development we’ve further improved the current range of HSD HR coilovers. For now these improvements are exclusive to the Nissan S-Body range, but they will be extending out into every model as we work our way through the R&D process! You can find S13 coilovers here, S14 coilovers here and S15 coilovers here.
So, here’s a run down of the new improvements… (Read more…)
Super tough zinc plated shock body to eliminate any corrosion issues.
New revised spring rates, 7kg/5kg, slightly softer for improved fast road and track-day use.
*8kg/6kg still available if required.
Longer rear bottom brackets to allow for higher ride height if required – they still go as low as before though!
These changes all work together to create an even more rounded package, the new plating is next to impossible to damage and doesn’t corrode or seize, the revised spring rates maintain awesome composure for track and drift use BUT provide a noticeable improvement for average road use, and the longer bottom brackets cater for those who want to run their car nearer standard ride height. We’ve also simplified the damping adjuster, making it tougher and easier to use.

That ride height issue meant I had to run the rear lower than I wanted and get toe arms. The corrosion issue on the original meant I ended up hacksawing off collars that’d gone on over a ton of copper grease and putting on new ones (after bending a C spanner) when I went to adjust the front ride height after a year. And one of the front damping adjusters was too sticky to turn by hand after a few months.
Sounds like you’ve fixed literally every problem I had with these coilovers. Nice one. Despite the trouble I had with the old ones, I’d definitely get these now for a new car 🙂
Now *thats* how you develop a product! Good on you Driftworks and HSD, other manufacturers could take a leaf out of your book.
Mine will be on order soon as I have the moneez!
so does this mean if a set was ordered for the is200 then would they have all the new revised bit on or what??? cheers
