Our Dually Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD is a little out of place in the UK. I originally bought it with a huge lift kit installed, but a lifted 2wd truck just isn’t right.
Then I had a wise idea about doing 6th gear burnouts in the snow one year & only afterwards found out that there was no governer / rev limiter. I'd snapped the crank in half
So Craig and I set about phase one lowering the truck, which then after a year turned into phase 4 – Frame chopping and notching the rear and creating a custom additional coilover spring and damper setup using a variety of HSD coilover bits.
The trucks primary purpose is hauling the big Pace America car transporter, and its second purpose is hauling pallets of Work Wheels from the airport, so it absolutely had to be super strong and practical. We put weeks of work into the chassis work, and it’s held up perfectly.
Chevy Minaj does burnouts with S15 on the trailer.
The Duramax engine, unfortunately, didn’t hold up so well. It turned out that truck had been clocked on import to the UK and instead of the displayed (and sold as) circa 50k miles. It actually had more like 250k miles on it. Then I had a wise idea about doing 6th gear burnouts in the snow one year & only afterwards found out that there was no governer / rev limiter. I’d snapped the crank in half, but the truck still ran. It wasn’t until about 8months after while towing on the motorway it finally let me down.
It took me months to get the replacement parts, and Jay finally drew the very short straw of replacing the crank for me. With the engine still in the truck. Not a nice job. Craig had previously done the top end for us with new headgaskets, reconditioned turbo and ARP headstud kit. So it’s an almost complete refresh and reliable with the tune it has on it.

Chevy Minaj was build in 2007 but has a 64 plate? ?
DVLA messed up on import. They used the import date as date of first registration. I have the same thing on my AE86 too. It’s a 1986 car on an L reg.
