Ian joined us at Mallory Park on Thursday for a day of skids, but despite him turning up in an extremely capable and powerful RWD car he refrained and braved the bitter cold taking photos, which I am sure will be up on Drifted and in the Driftworks Forums soon. But Ian can be excused a bit because he does have a car in the build at the moment, an S2000 powered AE86, and the car is awesome. It’s not finished, and it’s been nearly finished for about 43 years, but I’m putting this up here in the hope he gets some momentum back into the build for 2011 and AwesomeFest!
It’s a build that started back in 2005. almost 5 years to the day in fact.
What I love most about the build is that everything is nice, everything has been thought about. All the little details.
It’s not built to win scene points, it’s built to be exactly what Ian wants it to be, with a little help from a few very talented fabricators (check out the exhaust manifolds) and Ian himself.
No expense spared, anywhere.
I think you’ll regret not running the 03’s, but the Barrells are equally amazing. Stunning car, get it finished man!! 🙂
Looks awesome.
Was the chassis really built in1967? That is a real oldness 😀 It doesnt matter if it runs sweet.
The S2000 engine is F20C not FC20!!!!!
That is fucking lush!

i can’t wait to see this finished such an awesome car 🙂
