DMCC Round 3 – Pro AM

Over the weekend it was not only the DMCC Pro drivers ripping up the track in Victoriaville for the 3rd round of DMCC – with the new layout the Pro AM drivers also had their event the same day as the Pros which made for a crazy day of back to back action.

It’s really cool to see how a lot of the Pro Am drivers have been stepping up their game. Most of them pushing as hard as the Pros.

After having a major crash in round 2. Driver Stevens Jackson actually made it to round 3, finishing the car a day before the event.

Practice went really well with all the drivers killing it.

A few drivers did had a run in with the wall however. Kodi Mac Donald was one of those unlucky drivers. But after some wrenching in the pits he was able to get his car ready for qualifying.

On both his qualifying runs driver Mario Courchesne (who always pushes hard) found himself in a bad situation. Putting his car into the k barriers twice.

Too make matters worse, Mario shares the car with Pro driver Dom Desrosier and the pro qualification was about to start. It was impressive to see the team spring into action and they were able to get the car back in running order for Dom to put down one qualifying run.

Tomy Boisvert-Bellemare ended up qualifying in the first spot.

Second place went to Eric Warnet in his badass Mustang.

With Marc Andre Claude in 3rd.

Honorable mention goes to Gonzalo Diaz for his one handed, waving to the crowd while tapping qualifying run.

The next day right before the Pro’s Top 16 to start it was time for the Pro Ams to battle it out. The Pro Ams put on a great show for the crowd – some of the tandem runs were just insane.

It was Eric Warnet going against Tomy Boisvert-Bellemare for the top spot on the podium. It was a great battle between the little s13 and the big bad mustang.

It was a really close match up, but Tomy was awarded the win.

The final Standings were: Tomy Boisvert-Bellemare in 1st, Eric Warnet in 2nd, and Marc Andre Claude in 3rd.
