10J Grid Drift for normal E46

Ted

DRIFT*DIVISION
Right after doing some extensive research on the Beemer forums, I have had the fear of death put in to me. Those boys are adament that a 10J cannot fit on the back of a 330ci (non M). They really arnt fans of stretch and anything like that is frowned upon so trying to get decent answers is hard.:smash:

Im wanting to set up my 330 to be an awesome gripper for use on the occasional track and ring trip. So a wider wheel appeals to me greatly!

Im wanting to get a 255 tyre on the back minimum. Is this going to be doable on a 10J without arch mods??

If I cant get these to fit then Im going to have to go with the usual BBS LM reps, which will be heavy and very un original!:euge:

Hopefully Ill get the answers im looking for!

Thanks,
Ted

You won't get the grid drifts in 10j with a 255 on under unmodded arches. No how no way.
They would fit with a 225 or 235, a touch of camber and a wee roll however.

There are other wheels out there with more suitable offsets that you may be able to get a 10j in that fits but common BMW owners perception is 9.5j is your limit.

My main reason for wanting the rotas is their weight advantage and quality over say for example BBS LM reps.

To fit the 255 tyre Id imagine it would need quite a large roll?

I just dont know what to do dammit!

I havent got beef with getting them rolled, as long as I can still get a largeish tyre on the back still
