14x9 -19 Offset RS-Watanabe's on my AE86

-NIGHTSPIRIT FAMILY- UK Drift Since 2001
Got em yesterday (thanks Jay, Glen!), fitted em today and dropped the car too. They are 14x9 -19 Offset RS-Watanabe R-Type, with a 5mm spacer. The tyres are 185/55/14 Bridgestone Potenza RE01's. I'll be running 185/60/14 when the RE01's are finished, should tuck up into the arch a bit more, then i'll know how much more i can space the wheels out. Just as with the mods on my old black Levin, im pretty sure this is another first in the UK... :D

Lovely wheel. Good to see something differant on a cam for a change, i only have the standard superlites on my one as i cannot come accross any good drifting wheels for her over here.

Such blatantly unacceptable levels of pornography should not be allowed on a public forum.

I will never be able to look at my pitiful collection of polished and matt black MA61 rims again....I used to think they were class when I got a set to replace the OE 13's on my first AE86 8 years ago, but seeing those Wats makes me think about binning em and shelling out for some JDM hoops.

You got four of those bad-boys Pazza?? You make me laugh mate; 9J, -19mm and you still want more running a spacer. Quality.

Thanks guys, more pics to come.. My batteries are charged and i found out how to get off my drive :)

Will, yeah i gots 4.. 2 are still in transit somewhere i guess, those ones are Mag RS-Wats.. yay! At the min ive just got the XR4's on the back, they arent that bad i guess.. Cant wait for them all to come!

Kenny, no pics yet.. Will sort some soon ;)

Thanks

On a serious note, is it a good idea (safety wise) to have tyres that stretched? Surely the tyre is more liable to come off the rim or lose pressure?

Jay, youre a girl :D And i love you.... erm.

Yeah its fine to stretch em like that. A "normal" tyre will flex that much when you drive anyway and it makes your steering more responsive and more direct in its feel. Thats because the tyres flexing is reduced to a minimum. Plus the Japanese have been stretching them for 30 years so im sure its fine, and ive not had trouble in the past with 185's and 195's on 8j rims.. This is just one step further...

Go on... Admit it.. Its fuckin bad ass :D ;) lol

Looks fookin ace.

Must admit, I've been sort of thinking about going for that sort of shit on my S13. A set of 9x15s would look pretty mental.:D Fook knows where I can get some cheapish wheels that size though.
