For sale is my much loved , and unfortunaly for sale, mini clubman estate.

Before I start.....

I had a week off work where I decided that I would tidy the car up with my free time. I was unhappy with some rust on the car and rather than patch it up I just replaced the panels for what they cost!

I have replaced the drivers sill and doorstep with new panels. A complete rear valance and corner valances as well as the rear step which is prone to rust when the old door seals leak. I have had new door cards trimmed in black cord . I Have fitted two new front tyres and given a fresh coat of underseal to keep the bad weather out too. The car is now, in my opinion, 99% rust free.

I Sprayed the car after fitting the new panels but the match was not perfect. I wanted to get the whole car blown over but I dont have the time, money or space right now. I will include the paint to finish it. Also because of this, the flipfront is unfinished as i dont want to waste paint if the front hasnt been finished either.

Since being down newquay I have got some new trim for the sills and rear. Also a roll of arch trim but this isn't fitted yet but will be included.

The rocker cover has also been sprayed the same yellow as the car.

The picture of the scratch on the roof has been included.

There is a small bit of roof missing when it was rusty, it is also shown in a picture.

There is a scratch on the drivers wingmirror, this can be seen in the last picture.

The pictures are now up-to-date and are of the car in its current state. I will be selling the car as-is..

What needs doing...

If I had the time, these are the things I would do over a period of time, this is just what I think should be done to complete the car...

* Blow the car over with the ducati yellow paint, either yourself if you have time or by a bodyshop. Wouldnt cost too much because its not a respray.
* Finish off smoothing the flipfront, or ideally replacing with a better (in my opinion) 2-Piece front for easier access checking oil, etc.
* Spray the scratch on the roof.
* Buy and fit roof gutter trim.

A large amount of paperwork and reciepts will come with the car. Racking up thousands spent. I rebuilt her back in 2005 so bodywise shes well for a 30 year old car. Its very fast and hadles extremely well.

I think that is it so far. I will now start on the specs.

I've priced it up and im probably better off breaking the car and chucking it on the bay. I'd rather not do that to her though... Will include ALL my k-series stuff. spare heads, 3 complete inlet mani's hubs, shafts, lots of bits.

Last chance saloon...

£3900 as it is (month and a bit mot), £3960 with 12months mot.

Thanks ed, im now stripping the car for parts. as i need couple bits off it for my 180sx. namely ECU, Omori rev counter and maybe harness'.

Speedo sold, everything else is for sale.

Not that i could afford it anyway lol, but how much these days are you looking at for a rolling shell of one of these ?

Depending whats included, i'd be looking around £400-500 for the shell.

Its just had new sills, door step, rear step, rear centre and corner valances. good condition.
