180sx offsets

Bladerider

Ajudged scoundrel !!
Stupid question no doubt,

But the orange is on spacers and I was wondering what offsets would be best considering the flared arches front and rear.

I want another set of alloys as spares and fancied some hard lookin five or six spokes like TE37's maybe in 18 if I can squeeze em on for road use.(can you get 30 section tyres as part worns?? :D :D )

If this is going to get me shot be the dori style police then please tell me Im a moron !! Remeber, Im still learning, but my heart is in the right place !!!

Some of the TNS offset police will be along in a minute to just tell you to get the lowest offset wheels (combined to the widest width I must add) you can find and worry about how they go on later :wack:

Do you know what they are at the moment? If so, then take into account the spacer and you know what will definatly work.

yeah, just have a look what it is now. should be stamped on the back of the rim somewhere and then work out what that becomes when the spacer is taken into account and hey presto, you know what the best offset is:)

if you go for 18's only get them for the back, they look ubergay on the front

the problem will be finding a wheel that has the correct offset without a spacer, you'll probably have to run one of some size no matter what you get!

Thanks,

I will get the jack out at some point and have a butchers !!

I dont profess to be a great photoshopist (in fact I havent even got PS !!) but a 5minute quickie on paint gives a VERY rough impression of what id like (although not necessarily the rims I'd like ;) :D )

Remember with 18s you'll have less to play with when it comes to clearing the arch by stretching the tyres.

Ahhh, it'd just be too easy :wack:

As already said, you need to know what width and offset your existing wheels are, and copy that exactly, as you don't want to fuck about taking off or putting on bolt on spacers every time you swap from road wheels to drift wheels. We don't want to ever see that car with more than 5mm arch gap  ;)

As phil said you'd be better using the spacers you have.
Then get the same offset rims as you have at the moment.

I think it does look sweet in that photo shopped picture.
Blitz do some sexy rims that'd look bad. The ones Kiki used to have on his S13.
