This is my carina - it needs to go. It was a pretty sweet looking rat rod, but now all the cool stuff has been removed its pretty much just rat. Do'nt let the paint fool you though, its in really good condition. Mechanically the car is in perfect order, last month I did 2 x 400+ mile journeys in it and it didn't miss a beat or use a drop of oil. Its got MOT untill March 08,but no TAX or number plates for that matter, so will need to be trailered away. The car drives real nice but does have its problems:
A hole in the exhaust back box that has been repaired but is likely to go again at any point.
A hole in the boot lid (pictured)
Painted like its in bad condition (but its not)
Has recently had a VOSA test becaust it had been written off by an insurance company fo nothing more than a crumpled rear passenger door. (fixed) And any car that is, weather anilhilated compleytely or as this car - just dented, has to have one of these tests. It took about 30 secs for the guy to pass it, but took half my day and £35
These cars share many parts with the AE86, and I believe that a 4AGE engine swap is pretty much just a straight swap.
Time is of the essence, as I'd like it off my drive by next monday, so grab yourself a bargain. First £150 cash in my hand gets it, no offers.
