[FONT=Trebuchet, Arial,Verdana] 1986 BMW 535iSE. Mechanically the same as the M535i

Lachs Silver Metallic
3.5l 6 cylinder, manual box (not dogleg)
MOT for 11 months, tax til end December 2006
Full M535i tan leather comfort interior including dashboard lower panel and door trims
M tech gear knob
LSD as standard
H+R springs, Bilstein shocks
Superchipped
Full custom made stainless exhaust-Sounds gorgeous!!
Currently on a set of 17" BBS style 5 split rims, e34 15" rims also available.
OBC, check control and service indicator all work perfectly-OBC backlight bulbs blown tho but 2 new ones included in sale.
Larger brakes fitted from a later 5 series, brakes also recently fully bled and are exceptionally good!
Pioneer CD player fitted, also all speakers have been uprated, very good sound quality.

All electrics work except for cruise control, rear windows sometimes a wee bit slow though.

People familiar with these cars may know some of there regular failings, I do too ;-) In the past year it has had

New Fuel tank and underbonnet fuel hoses
New centre prop mount and guibo
New diff mount
New upper control arms (Only 1 fitted, other supplied and ready to fit, my balljoint splitter broke...)
New rear brake pipes and flexi's-brake fluid replaced at the same time
Sills and jacking points welded for MOT-No structural rust at all!!
New steering drag link
New plugs, dizzy cap and rotor arm
Oil and filter changed, new oil filter included in the sale..
Coolant system flushed and antifreeze replaced, also has had new radiator top hose.

Excellent condition chrome front bumper to go with car, also excellent condition zender airdam which has never been fitted but will look the biz once it's on...
Rear M535i bumper fitted, a few scratches on it but was going to get it painted at the same time as the front one.
Some shadow line trim fitted, the rest is the standard chrome trim.

Body is a wee bit tatty with some surface rust and a few scratches. Would ideally need 2 front wings (roughly £40 each from Euro Car Parts)
Didn't bother me when I got it as the car lived in Glasgow and I didn't want a concours car when there’s neds about but it may put some people off. You can't see it from the drivers seat though

and remember the car has recently passed an MOT so has no structural rust to worry about, underneath it is very solid.
Cruise control is not working- I have not had a go at fixing it so do not know what the problem is.
Drivers side front foglight backing is tarnished, foglight still works though, it’s just not as bright as the other side.
A couple of injectors are a bit noisy, this is a common problem and does not affect the running of the car in any way. Other than that the engine is quiet. The water pump was replaced before I got the car.

There is a massive folder of history with the car and the correct owners manual too, also a bill of sale from 1987 (the dealer sticker is still in the rear window too!)
I was led to believe that the car was originally a press fleet car for BMW GB but have no way of proving this unfortunately.
I have amassed a large amount of technical information on my computer too, I will burn this onto a disc if required.

Here's some pics.

How much you looking for?

Come and have a look and make me an offer....

MikeAE86, Wheels won't be for sale separately, unless the new owner only wants the car on a set of 15"s

Cheers

Insurance might not be that bad. To give you an example, I was paying about £350 a year for it and when I changed the policy over to my 205 1.9 it works out about £30 a year cheaper. That's through Privilege, you could also get it on a classic policy if it's not your main car...

Sexual.

Insurance for me, at 19 w/ 2yrs ncb is only £1200. But because I pay in installments it goes upto £190 a month (10mnth policy) ARGH.

Then again, that's also on a standard 525i. Then again, again, a 528i is cheaper so I bet a 535i isn't much more than mine :)

If you could insure it on a parents name then become a named driver then will be about a penny.

Car is feckin sexual, nicely low (at the back at least?), gorgeous wheels, no lairy bodykits!
