Hi i recently bought a E30 1989 318i. I plan to build the the car to be used on a drift track only, so practically anything goes the only thing i have to keep in mind is that the track I plan to learn how to drift on limits the cars noise emissions to 83dB. I have knowledge of building thing usings lathes and milling and know how to weld , so i plan to make most of the parts, which are possible with my machines myself. I have a generel understanding of car parts but hope to learn more. Im planning to weld the diff and then sort out the suspension first it feels kinda soft... maybe lower it on diy Coilovers or springs. Ive though about exchanging some of the rubber bushings suspension with diy steel/Aluminium made on the lathe. I just dont know which i can change and which have different rotation axis that wouldnt work with a solid bushing. I read i can exchange the differential bushing without a problem is that right?la
The car had a small damage in the rear which pushed the rear fender out a bit, since i worked in a carshop this summer i got it repaired for cheap.
Btw me and my friends are in the process of equiping a small workshop for cars n bikes so space n tools arent a problem.
And after all this talk a pic ^^ more pics are to fallow in a week since im not home.
