190,300Km with full main dealer and specialist history. Is due an Oil Service now. Metallic Black with half Black Leather interior, Sunroof, All electric windows, Electric rear blind, side window blinds, desirable blade alloys.
The good points, the bodywork on the whole is in excellent condition, with only a very small rust bubble below the fuel flap. The engine is very strong and not rattly indicating that the timing chain has been replaced. No overheating evident. MOT until 18th November 2006 and Tax until 31st October 2006. Last Serviced at a deaelr was at 173,000 in '01 but has only reached 190,300km now. Interior is in excellent condition and has the rarer manual seats (less to go wrong!)
It is need of some tlc. The cats are rattling but I've been advised that this is a pre cat law car and could have a bypass pipe fitted for a lot less and of course release some more power. There is a slight leak from the tailshaft seal on the gearbox which could be easily sorted out. The gearbox does whine but I have checked with some senior BMW techs who have advised it's nothing to worry about as they all tend to whine a bit. I've spoken to Hardy Engineering who advised a gearbox rebuild would be 700 to 950 but may not cure the noise anyway for the same reasons and suggested driving it until it needs it. The rear tyres are also in need of replacement. The rear electric sunblind doesn't work and is in the up position. The air con isn't as cold as it should be and has R12 and hence a specialist may need to deal with this.
On the whole, the last 2 owners were BMW Owners club members and it has been looked after. There was a small dent to the OSF which has been repaired to tidy up, although not proffesionally. The bumper could do with realigning. Nothing is too major to be honest, it just needs some tidying up to have a real usable 170mph classic car.
I was selling my old 328i when a buyer asked if I would take this in part exchange. I'm not a trader, but agreed as I've always wanted one. Ubnfortunately, the wife didn't agree!
I would however take a part ex on something cheaper that is interesting and rwd. Call me on 07956 377556

Any takers guys, you all seemed so keen for pics and prices I thought you'd be gagging for it. By the way, no more scammers, I've had 8 so far!

With all due respect Coxy it looks lovely but that is rhd money imo.

A lhd 109k miles sold up the road from me last week for £2200, clean condition and black like yours.

I am sure if you find a buyer looking for specifically a lhd m5 to use between here and the continent it will sell.
Please don't take this the wrong way.
I know what it's like to flog them, I owned a lhd e36 m3 for a while and prices have to reflect this. Sorry.

These are the main points that put me off buying when compared to autotraders half dozen or so other examples for RHD cars at the same sort of price.

Absolutely.

I love E34's

Wish Muppet hadnt killed the pIMP. Woulda been finished by now with 4.4 V8 supercharged powahs !!

Obviously being built by Muppet it would likely as not have blown up though !!!

:D :D :D :D :D

I thought that was his car... thats what he told everyone anyways when he was doing 160mph on the spot burnouts??...

It was his kind of !!

It was on long term loan to help him out and would become a demo car for Zoom, he would give me what we both felt it was worth for it in case he destroyed it while he had it when he got his finances in order. The agreement was once it was finished I would give him his money back plus the cost of the parts for the conversion, but that never happened.

In the mean time it got attacked by one of his customers with a shovel, dropped in a ditch and god knows what else - then he blew it up !! - which was where some of the money was coming from to buy the new engine !! It was effectively Johns car at the time, just a shame as I always hoped it would return as the monster I knew it could be !!

The difference is, WYSIWYG! I'll only tell people how it is as there are far too many people on the net selling 'excellent condition' cars which really aren't I've had the benefit of a BMW tech looking over it and a Gearbox seal, bypass pipe and a couple of rear tyres aren't going to break the bank, but I wouldn't hide that sort of thing from someone as I'm probably too b****y honest!
As for the price, fair comment, but if you're interested, want to have a look, and want to have a bit of a deal, then give me a call. In all honesty, I was pricing it on the basis of what someone else said to me, so try me!
But show me a car thats in better condition for less money first!

Hi there

Would an e28 535iSE manual with loads of (tasteful) mods and some cash be of any interest? PM me if your interested, i'll get a for sale thread for my car up shortly.

Don't you just hate it when domestic issues crop up!
My boiler in the nice new house I've bought has just packed up and is about to cost me £2.5K! So therefore, this must go soon and I will accept a sensible offer.
