JDM Nissan PS13 Silvia (personal import by me). Very rare in the UK, but shares platform and power train with other S-Body vehicles sold in Europe eg 200sx. Road car with track spec. Stripped/caged with properly considered and balanced, quality modifications (eg Full titanium exhaust). Having spent some years in dry storage, the car has just been completely refreshed including brand-new coil-over set. Mechanically it’s in great condition with only 65k miles and fresh MOT (7th Dec). You will not often find a car like this.
Performance
Real world fast and massively fun. Dyno’d at 306bhp and weighs about 1100kg. Exhaust makes fire. For perspective in terms of pace, it’ll run with a big turbo RX7 and destroy a stock 350Z (personal experience of both). The defining things here are the balanced modifications and power-to-weight ratio, improving not only power (+72% vs stock at dyno), but also power delivery and handling. Steering and brakes are extremely direct with great feel, making this a real driver’s car.
The driving experience
In two words, I’d say ‘Raw’ and ‘Engaging’. Traction control, stability control and ABS are all administered by your right foot (care required: in damp, even at 60mph this car can break traction when flat on boost). Stiff chassis and Nismo diff put oversteer on tap. If you can drive confidently it’s very thrilling. But even driving in traffic is great fun....you’ll get loads of positive attention, thumbs-ups and people wanting to chat at petrol stations!

This car is comprehensively modified. As you are probably aware, driveability and reliable power are not achieved by just slapping nice wheels and a boost controller on a stock car.

In 2007 I purchased this car in Japan and had it cared for by a company called “Garage Anything” that specialised in performance work, especially for ‘86 and Silvia.
Since importing in 2008, I have had the car mapped by Abby Motorsport and dry-stored.
As it is now time to part ways, I have just had the car thoroughly refreshed by SB Autos in Wellingborough (only if serious, please call them if you wish for an independent mechanical opinion). I’m selling with a clean conscience – what needed doing is done and it’s ready to go with fresh MOT (no mechanical advisories) and the following work just completed:
New plugs
New oils and fluids
New battery
New fog light conversion and switch
New HSD Mono-Pro Coil-overs (£774 from Drift works)
New brake pads all round
Refurbished front callipers
Replacement brake master cylinder
Bad bits (factored into price)
This car is mechanically solid with a very clean body (i.e. no rust or shunts). Modifications are carefully chosen using high quality brands and have been done properly. But make no mistake, the car is for performance driving and is not a show queen. If you look closely you will find many small blemishes in line with age and nature of car...and the interior is basically stripped - please check the pictures!
Reason for selling
I love this car and want to keep it (proper drivers car!!)....but I’m now moving back to Japan with my work. I simply cannot convince my wife into investing time and money (again) into the shipping and registration required to return back there with it!
