Ok Bought this as a bit of luxury from a mate who had to sell it due to having a baby but as sexy and luxurious as it is I want an S2000.

Quite a practical car, boot is absolutely enormous!!! Also really good on juice if you are just cruising it, if you boot it and get the blower spinning then obviously not so good just like any other car really.

12 months mot on it as of Friday 17/4/09 ---> 16/4/10
(for mot it needed a new track rod arm, exhaust mount welding and headlight aim adjusting)
6 months tax as of today 4/09 ---> 30/09/09

61K on the clock

Mint black leather and carbon fibre interior (CD face off not pictured)

Roof works 100%

5 speed Gear box was reset last week by main dealer so is in adaptive learning mode (nice and smooth)

Supercharger works sweet!!! (need to keep an eye on that speedo)

16" genuine merc alloys, 16" alloy space saver/first aid kit/tool kit etc all present.

New transponder key, New rear back box (merc part) with black oval tip, really nice car, can hardly hear the engine when on the motorway, bag loads of power (2.3l supercharged).

HPI clear and independent valuation of £7190 (had this done when I bought it a few months ago)

I'd like £5K or will p/x against an S2000 / R34 or something similar... cash waiting to put to the right car. (apologies for the shite drivers carpet mat, not mine, just didn't wanna get the mint carpets dirtied etc ;) )

:confused::confused: methinks they have fed you a line

apart from that looks like a nice buy for someone for the summer....

Not really, The gearbox has it's own ecu (like many modern auto cars) and as much as I hate auto cars Mercs really are the benchmark for them. You can reset them so they adapt to your driving style. Nothing that big, quite common for when people buy a Benz.

Yeah yeah I know it's a bit hair-dressery but I have enough cool cars to make up for it. Besides it goes over speedbumps without knocking my teeth out and don't go deaf from driving it unlike everything else I own!!! :D

Anyway it's advertised for sale or P/X not for people to slate it. Thanks

Ah ok, from what I read up on other forums (and was told at the main dealer who done it) although they do constantly learn all the time its the first X amount of miles that the main driving style is learnt. Either way I had the gearbox ecu reset and it is noticeably smoother to drive now.

That 5 speed box is very very clever

Aaaaaanyway, it is priced to sell/trade at that! Thanks, Damo
