2.6 Widebody Starion 90k from new!

I wasnt gonna post it on here, as i dont think people really want Starions as drift cars, but sod it!
IMO it would make a cracking drift car, as it makes me look good, so someone with skillz could do some damage on the drift tracks and hopefully beat some s bodys at last :p

-F reg 1989 2.6 Turbo Widebody. Not a spot of rust anywhere! Neither on top nor underneath!

-Rare Silver Colour.

-PAS/Cruise Control/Electric windows/Air Conditioning (that does work, but has been disabled temporarily for better MPG and less drag on the engine. Will probably require a re-gas too) original radio cassette/electric Ariel/black Leather interior with lumbar and bolster adjusters/Vented discs all round, the list goes on!! Its very well spec'ed up for its year, and everything works!!

-Only 90738 miles from new with documents to prove.

-Virtually every MOT since its 1st in 1992. Only missing the year 2000 MOT. Vehicle was off the road for 2001, back on the road for 2002, and then had been sat in a garage not turning a wheel for almost 5 years until late 2006 when I purchased it and got it back on the road.

-8 months MOT (ends November 27th 2007).
-Tax until the end of May.

-Has been professionally welded before it's MOT in 2006, and that welding was very minimal, at the backs of both sills.

-New wipers all round.
-New front discs (about a year old now, previous owner fitted in 2005 and never drove it).
-New tyres all round. About 6-7mm of tread now.
-New genuine pads all round.
-New battery in 2006.
-New high wattage headlamp bulbs. :euge:

-Recently fully serviced, work done:

Engine oil changed (Castrol GTX Magnatec)
Oil filter changed
Fuel Filter changed
Coolant changed
Gearbox oil changed
Limited Slip Differential oil changed
Spark Plugs changed
Brake Fluid changed
Rear Callipers stripped, desized and new seals fitted.

Modifications:

All the mod's carried out have been done very tastefully, and for good reason. The vehicle can be fitted back to standard due to all old parts still with vehicle.

-Both cat converters removed. (Emissions print out from before and after) car still way within its MOT emissions regulations.
-Stainless back box fitted, giving a lovely burble and best of all its not really loud! You can still cruise at 80mph+ not knowing its got a modified exhaust.
-Cat converter air purge valve system removed.
-Performance pipercross air filter.
-Samco intercooler and vacuum hoses fitted.
-Adjustable piston type dump valve, which actually serves a very good purpose, not just for the noise, as some people may think!
It has stopped the turbo from stalling between gear changes, which means the turbo spools up allot quicker, giving instant boost.
-Digital Turbo timer fitted.
-Mitsubishi L200 indicator relay fitted, to speed up the indicator flashing to a modern standard. (thats drive-by  )
-Early spec rear lights fitted, as i personally prefer the look of them, but i do still have the original late spec rear lights, that will be sold with the car.

The Starion, really is a very tidy car, the only thing letting it down, which I was intended to get done if I was keeping her is:

Requirements to make vehicle absolutely MINT!!

-Recondition alloy wheels (diamond cut preferably)
-Balance all wheels due to slight wheel wobble. Wheels are perfectly straight and kerb damage free, just a slight wobble at 50mph area.
-Drivers side seat bolster repair required.
(Pictures available upon request)

That's it! Can't be bad considering the car is almost 20 years old now!

I put it up else where for £2800, but first one to give me £2500 in my hand can have it! :)

Oh and for the younger generation of peeps, no need to worry about insurance, as its pretty darn cheap!
Im 23 insuring it via Adrian Flux, fully comp, 3/4 years NCB and its costing me £323!

Sweet car! Cheap too, very rare in that condition. They skid amazingly well... multi-plate clutch LSD as standard and steering box for infinite locks.

Nobody on Driftworks is cool enough for it Brother, stick it on the Starion Owners Club website and PM Biltel on here to see if he has someone looking for one.

Did you take those photo's at that great Dogging spot you keep going on about ...... lol ;) :D

Free bump for a very cool retro car.

Nice car Rob - tasteful and clean.
Somebody will get a nice piece of motoring history and a lot of fun to boot.

In one of J.Clarksons earlier books he mentions how fondly he remembers his longest ever powerslide in a 2.6 WB Starion :smokin:

That is so very true! The diff in it is amazing, but more than anything, it was the steering lock that amazed me! Its as if the wheels keep on turning and never run out of lock! :D

Buy it Mr Bladey! It is a whole big chunk o' man of a car! Just like you boss man honey bunch. You need it in your garage, leave the Porker in the street. BIG power can be got out of the G54B too...

Lovely car if I had that cash it would be snapped up right now.
If you ever fancy giving me too much money for an old BM against it let me know.

I would William,

But I havent actually picked the Q45 up yet !!!

i cant just keep on buying cars when I dont have places for them and cant afford them either - the Orange has just managed to wrangle several £k too many out of me as it is !!!!!

I have always said I would like a WB Starion though. If you havent sold it in a coupld of months then I may well relieve you of it Mr Betty-san !!!

I think I'm cool enough, I'm just not rich enough. If I rock a starion it will be barely running and more rust than car, that is too nice an example for a redneck car wrecker like me to destroy.

you dont need to say it. you's is slick. course you are cool enough. just need a mouse-stash and that will finish off the look.
