also i now people don't use CB that much anymore,
so do u recon a tuck style (sqaure thing on a coil lead)
CB could be found for silly money? and do these radio's i've linked to work with CB? i don't really understand as i've never used it, well only as a kid

e-bay is blocked at work!

oh stupid me i'm the administrator, i'll just unblock it,

i was thinkin a pair of and sets so they can be used by anyone, in-out of car
and was think about getin one for the car so will driving just keep a ear open

the Din sized ones

Well with a bit of googling it seems that the PMR446 frequency doesn't even nearly match CB frequencies.

I have no idea if you can set a CB to the same frequencies, but I'd guess not....dunno.

I now have 4 of the binotone ones. :wack:

They are ideal for convoys etc but no good for long range work.

Depends what you want them for I guess.

basiclly i have a playground :D but it safer to have cars on look out for obvious reasons so i need a bit of range 2 miles really but possibly get away with a mile. 4 handsets would be good so 2 cars can watch, the others with the people driving.

If its any help,

I have 4 Motorola digital 2way radios for work and they are very good. They dont work as far as they are meant to - about half a mile really - but they are handy in that they have something like 300channels so its unlikely you get overheard.

I have some smaller motorolla hand sets that are good for about a mile and they are really good for car to car so the five mile ones would be ace!
