I will have 2 yrs NCB this year and will be 20 before that, looking to get a nice toyota chaser with a 1jz, turbo and manual. Wondering if I could get insured on one being 20 years old and having 2 years ncb, I have accepted the dreadful fact that a skyline will be too expensive in terms of cost and insurance until I'm 25+ so have been looking at the idea of having a Toyota Chaser as my next daily; they aren't as popular thus the *name* shouldn't give off red warning signs to the insurance companies like skylines and supras do.
Problem is, most chasers I find in the UK with manual have been modded that is in my budget, therefore mods are most likely gonna have to be declared and raising the premium.
So if anyone on the forum has a similar experience ie. 20 yrs old, chaser/soarer w/1jz engine
I'd appreciate if anyone can give tips to this.
Some extra info:
Clean licence, living in london BUT moving to northampton in a few months so will have a better postcode.
Why 1jz? Because its just jz life and also I would want to eventually do some skids in the near future.
I will be studying and working and dailying the car.
Thanks for reading.
