2001 Mustang Cobra drifting

Hey guys I have a 2001 Cobra with intake and exhaust I bought for cheap. I’m going to start drifting it not looking into competitive just weekend fun at the track. Been reading a lot on drifting mustangs but most threads are on gt drifting with a live axle.

Questions.
1. What rim and tire size is best to use? Price and availability of tire size is important.

2. What suspension mods since it’s IRS?

I’m going to start drifting with its stock and slowly make suspension mods like coilovers and angle kit. Eventually hydraulic handbrake.

Starting with 17-inch rims is a good idea because they're pretty common and you can find affordable tires for them. For the tire width, something between 245 to 255mm should work well. It gives you enough grip but isn't so wide that it makes drifting tough. Just keep in mind that the best tires for you might depend on how you like to drive and the track you're on, so you might need to try out a few different options.
