Welcome to the sale of my 2003 Toyota Crown Estate, which I imported myself earlier this year. Since then, I have done everything to make the car road legal, and as such its ready to drive away today. Sadly, due to the DVLA taking 2 months just to process the registration paperwork, my circumstances have changed and I now need to let this one go.
Below are the main stats you’ll be interested in:
The exterior is very clean indeed, being a Grade 4, with only light scratches and scuffs on corners as to be expected with a car that’s nearly 20 years old. The car has a rear foglight wired for MOT purposes, this utilises one of the bulbs already in the rear cluster so no ugly additional foglight dangling down! The underside of the car is impressively clean with no ugly black underseal applied, just the factory stone chip over paint. I have coated the entire underbody and all cavities in ACF-50 to maintain this appearance. Of course, there is absolutely NO rust anywhere to be found on this Toyota. All 4 matching Toyo tyres have great tread, and the brakes also have plenty of life left in them. As standard the car has electrically folding heated mirrors, a soft close boot, and HID headlights – all of which are working fine.
Inside, the car continues to impress. There are no tears, burns or marks on any of the seats. All the interior buttons maintain their functionality, as does the very impressive factory sound system. The Sat Nav disc isn’t present, but it only works in Japan anyway! I’ve added a discreet Bluetooth adapter, which maintains the standard radio system but allows you to stream music and take calls. Both the air conditioning and swing vents are working well, as are the heated and folded mirrors. With the rear seats folded down, it makes for a very impressive load-lugger. The boot also has the pull-cover, and under the floor you can find the usual tools/accessories as well as a full size never-used spare wheel.
Mechanically the cars history shows its been very well looked after, which is confirmed by the way it drives. It’s honestly one of the most comfortable and effortless cars I’ve ever driven, and is surprisingly quick considering its size! I’ve recently changed the cabin filter, air filter, oil filter and oil so the new owner has no scheduled maintenance to worry about for a while.
Overall, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to pick up a bargain Toyota Crown. It is both a desirable specification and condition, as well as benefiting from being in the country and registered ready to go. At the time of listing, there are only 2 other N/A Crown Estates for sale. Both less desirable cars, and months away from being drivable, and I’ve priced this lower than either of them.
£6,750ono. Located Near Oxford! Thanks for looking.
