Prodrive Performance Pack (PPP) was fitted by the supplying dealer at first service and the certificate is present – according to Prodrive the PPP takes the car to 265bhp
Service History:
4/1/05 1121 miles – Oaken Subaru
9/9/05 9715 miles – Oaken Subaru
12/5/06 17511 miles – Oaken Subaru
19/3/07 20095 miles – Christopher Neil Subaru
19/3/08 24482 miles – Graham Walker Subaru
Car was purchased by me in September 2008 and had an oil/fluids check by the supplying dealer but as they weren’t franchised Subaru I requested the book not be stamped. Its on the purchase invoice for the car though at 26970 miles.
According to Subaru UK the service isn’t due until 36k but I’d have thought more like 35k to keep it in keeping with the book!
Car runs on Bridgestone Potenza RE 070’s showing 4mm rear and 3mm front tread depth
Always run on 97 octane although the PPP car can run on 95 safely.
Car is always washed using the 2 bucket method to prevent swirling to the paint using Meguiars products and the paint is waxed with Meguiars Gold Class wax. I machine polished it at the end of June then re waxed with 3 coats of GC.
There are a couple of new car park dings but the paint work hasn’t chipped or cracked, and there are the usual stone chips on the front end. 2 small (less than the size of a 5p marks are on the front bumper and left side skirt where a rotary polisher kicked through) could easily pass for stone chips but I thought I’d mention it.
Wheels are straight and not buckled but the lacquer is slightly bubbling in a couple of places, again kind of expected for a 4 and a bit year old car but mentioned non the less.
The only bad point about the car is when I removed the rear spoiler to machine polish the boot lid a couple of weeks ago I haven’t managed to re-seal it properly and the boot got wet and leaks. Have taken the carpet out to stop it getting damp in the mean time and if I get chance I’ll have a go at re-sealing it. Not a horrible job, just needs two people and a tube of Silkaflex, again worth mentioning incase people are as fussy as me.
So why am I selling?
Simple really – I don’t use it, I have a van or my BMW GS motorcycle for commuting and a track car for my kicks and this car just isn’t getting the use it should have. My girlfriend does the grand total of 8 miles a day commuting in it and its just a waste of an awesome car. Since September the car has covered less than 5000 miles
No hidden agendas – Nothing to hide just an honest straight Subaru that isn’t getting the use to justify keeping it – its my 4th I’ve had over the last 10 years and the most refined with the leather and Air con etc
Asking price 8499 or very near offer or it goes in PX to the dealer for a bit less
NO TEST PILOTS, AGENCIES, BOY RACERS ETC ETC
NO TEST DRIVE WITHOUT FULL ASKING PRICE IN CASH (PRIOR TO HAGGLING OBVIOUSLY) AND A VALID INSURANCE CERTIFICATE ALLOWING YOU TO DRIVE WITH FULLY COMP COVER ON MINE
TO LET POTENTIAL BUYERS KNOW IN ADVANCE I WILL NOT MEET AT MY HOME ADDRESS FOR SECURITY REASONS AND WILL PROBABLY HAVE SOMEONE ELSE WITH ME WHEN WE MEET UP – PLEASE DON’T FEEL THREATENED BY THIS, I’M jUST NOT RISKING MINE OR MY FAMILY’S SAFETY – THERE IS A TESCO NEARBY WE CAN MEET AND HAVE A COFFEE WHILST NEGOTIATING!
