Ladies and gents

The British Open is now in its third year and this year will be bigger and better than ever.

Previous winners are Simon Perry and the current champion is no lesser driver than Driftworks own Phil Morrison.

2009 will see the introduction of a prize fund of £1750.

The champion will walk away with £1000, second place will receive £500 and third place £250.

The event takes place at Llandow Circuit on Sunday 20th September.

The event is open to 64 drivers who's cars must be built to BDC Pro specification rules and regulations or equivalent. No licence is required however please note you will be competing against drivers of a VERY high standard!

There will be three hours practice followed by 2 qualification runs for every driver.

The event finals will be run in a top 32 format so the winning driver will have to work hard to be the victor.

This event will see the return of Europe's most respected judge Julian Smith.

Julian is taking a break from his busy schedule as the proprietor of Garage D to join the BDC team at this epic event.

The entry fee for this event will be £125 per car/driver combination.

Entries will be taken from 12 noon on Wednesday 9th September via paypal. The address is bdcevents@hotmail.co.uk please send £135 to cover paypal fees and a small admin charge.

Any driver wishing to pay via bank transfer must request payment details via private message or email bdc@live.co.uk payment is required immediately to ensure payment has been received on or before the 9th.

Will you be the third British Open Champion? Have you got what it takes?

We are looking forward to hosting an epic event which will raise the bar for drifting in the UK.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Any question please feel free to post on this thread, pm or email bdc@live.co.uk

Tickets will be available from the BDC website very soon.

Spectators are more than welcome on both days to witness this end of season 2 day drift fest.
