Hi. Bit late in starting a build thread as it's already built but thought I'd go ahead anyway because I'm forever changing stuff on the car anyway.

Bought the car out of England about 2011 and drove it that year till I decided to park it up for the winter then it sat for about 5 years in the corner of the shed with the running gear dropped out if it as my intention was to restore it for driving on the road.

I always wanted to build my own drift car and since I know my way around Sierras and have plenty of parts gathered up from over the years it was my best and cheapest option to build a Sierra drift car.

I wanted to use the 24v v6 cosworth engine in my build as from my experience they are pretty trouble free and can take alot of high revs abuse.

When I bought the car it already had the 24v cossie engine fitted in it so that saved me time and money sourcing an engine as went ahead with the idea of using that car for my drift car.

I will post pictures of my journey so far from the time it sat in the shed till now with comments over the next few days. Thanks guys.

This is a picture of it after sitting for about 5 years in the corner of the shed. Engine is on the stand behind car. It was originally a 1989 2.0 dohc Ghia manual

Before I refitted engine I done the following work to save alot of heartache down the line after engine is fitted

New water pump

New heavy duty rocker gaskets

New exhaust manifold studs and gaskets

New Crank shaft oil seal

New sump gasket

New alternator

Refurbished standard injectors

New NGK plugs

Removal of power steering pump as i will be running an electronic pump instead, bracket fabricated with pulley in place of where power steering pump was to keep belt running water pump and alternator.

Timing chain and guides checked for wear and all seems fine

New 2.9 xr4x4 clutch kit and 2.8 flywheel

That was more or less it.
Connected engine upto an mt75 hybrid box with a modified clutch fork that makes it adjustable from the outside of the box and attached it all to the front subframe and lowered car onto the running gear as it can be very tight to slip the engine in from above I thought I would make life alot easier and make use of my new 2 post lift!!!
