I'm looking at a 2jz engine, its complete (still in a running car) i wanna no if it will go into an s13 shell without to much cutting n cocking about, i have done a search on here n didnt find much on 2jz into 13's.
I realise i not gonna take it out n put it in the s13 over a weekend, just wanna no if it will fit on same engine mounts is bulkhead in the way... stuff like that.
also the cars auto so i obviously need a gearbox but what else will i need?
Cheers:dw:

if you want a week work then go for rb25. really easy job, in a day you got engine in with the engine and box mounts

Seen the prices of the manual stuff for a jz engine...

Budget for 1k for box and bellhousing... Then you need a clutch and flywheel.. 500quid plus...

Front sump, shifter extension, engine and box mounts, prop, loom, exhaust, fuel lines, rad and FMIC pipework etc etc. It's a fair old job.

didnt think a box would be that much, thats not a good start.

you would be lucky to get a 6sp getrag for £1000, very lucky. they push towards the £2000 on occaisions, but like i said you would be lucky if you had it for £1000.

5 speed (W58) is cheaper option, not as strong, will work for a while, depending on what powers your pushing.

2JZ is an amazing engine though! :)

or r154 box...

they go for around £1000+ with bell housing iirc

I done one a while ago just go sr or rb unless youve got around £4000+ to buy all the bits !!

your pretty much spot on the money, i've done some serious research today and came to around the £3000 mark without adding engine in let alone the time factor. Looks like i'll be leaving that idea well alone for now,:(

Didnt really want an RB, i may aswell buy a liner save myself time money n hassle.
I was gonna use the 2jz cos my mate wants the coilovers and other suspension bits off the car and we were gonna go halfs on the car and break it. May still do that
Anyone want a 2jz? :D

How much u want for the 2jz!!!! Lucky I have a bit of time an want to do sumthing a wee bit diff from everyone else!!
