I had a quick search and it seems running Drift practice days here was talked about many years ago. Well they are happening right now. Not sure how many they have had before now but a few I think. I went to one this last weekend (Sat 10th) and it was really good and very good value. It's run by The Racing School who own the circuit which I think is why they can do it so cheap, around £60
The day is run in 2 or 3 groups, caged (twinning allowed) and none-caged (solo only). On this day, as there were so many un-caged they ran it as 3 sessions or roughly 20mins each. Even if there are red flags or breakdowns etc. they make sure you get your 20mins so you just need to keep an ear out for when it's your session next, you can line up in a paddock area.
There is a short briefing at around 9:00 and track action begins shortly afterwards. They break for lunch at a suitable time, around 12:30-ish for around 45mins then it's back on track. It then runs until 6pm (prob earlier though when the light gets bad).
On this day they ran the SHORT track in the morning and the LONG track in the afternoon. Previously they had just run the long track for the last hour but it ran so well and was so well received they ran it all afternoon and I think the plan is to continue this. It does rely on everyone playing the game though and as ever, if you abuse you lose it and we can't afford to lose such a great track drift venue.
Here is some footage of both layouts. I was hoping to include data overlay and footcam like my previous videos but managed to blow my logger up as I was wiring it in.
Car is a mildy tuned S14a (~260bhp) and drift style (like the driver) is very much old-school
Watch out at the end for a bit a flame spitting exhaust
So that's why they call it V-Power NiTRO+
