77 toyota celica gt

Hey guys
I live in egypt so we got pretty much no drifting cars except for BMWs. I prefer japanese drifting cars so i found a 1977 toyota celica gt with a 20r engine and i was wondering if it could drift. I could swap the engine as well !

If you could Export cars like that to this country at those prices you'd be making serious amounts of money.

An engine swap would be cool, but no reason why you'd have to do that straight away.. I don't know anything about the engines these come with, but may be able to do something cool with it..

If you want to do an engine conversion, maybe try find an Altezza Beams 3SGE engine, they go very well in vintage Toyotas

I've driven plenty of 22RE's and they suck for top end power. Mid range torque is where it's at. The 20R is enough to have fun but don't expect giant smokey drifts haha. I would love to have that car. For sure!
