anyone know what the extra piping is on numbers 1 and 4??

pressuming it has the same elbow at the back of the box aswell, it's a triple baffle, effectivly making the exhaust twice as long with 3 times as much silencing, should sound well nice

Number 5 looks the best to me, judging by the route of the pipework and tailpipe looks a nice unrestrictive exhaust, maybe a bit loud but those other pipes look crap, would have said not any gains over a standard system, really low volume deep sound.
All about breathing quick in quick out

i have one that is unrestrictive and cant really drive over 70 as it promotes headaches.....

choices are either 1,4 or 6....... im opting for 4 at the mo but not sure and the lexus guys dont know shit........

cmon 1,4 or 6???

the 5th one was a A'pex one - sold, Blitz TT-sold, tanabe-sold, sheepdog(???)-sold

speed racing ones left......now who the fuck are they? dont want to buy some shyte make! anyone heard of them??

Go number 6, it's straight-through, 1&4 are the old ('60's design) 'Turbo' Muffler, and the internal piping goes to the back, back to the front then bends back to the front, not very good for flow at all, I can't belive they are still made.

I have never heard of Speed racing, but on no6 look through it and the perforations should be nice and clean, and nothing sticking out, it's usually pretty east to see the the differences in quality in a muffler. Since it's second-hand (isn't it?) you couldn't tell what kind of condition the fibreglass packing or whatever is used is in, probably wouldn't make much difference in performance, but it would make it resonate more and make it more annoying.

No6 looks better too ;) the bends sticking out of the other two make it look really odd.

1 & 4 are similar in design to stock s12 back boxes and they are terrible. As said the piping loops round inside the can which is crap for flow.
