Hi all,
I'm looking for some advice on which way to go with purchasing my first drift car.
I've had various track/race cars over the years and work in a job which requires plenty of track driving on rear wheel drive cars with 450 bhp plus.
That being said, I've never had an exclusive drift car or done much actual drifting - More power sliding. I'd really like to get into drifting but will be doing it on a budget until I decide if I'm any good at it or not.
Basically I want some advice on what my best options are as a first car to learn in - I'm quite keen on an Mx5 with a welded diff but seems most are rotten. E36/46 323/5/8 look a good option but some are more than I'd like to spend. Anyone have experience of the E46 325Ti for drifting?
I'm allowing up to £1,000 for my first car - Required mods aren't included but to get going seems cheap enough - Tyres, welded diff and a seat with harness would be enough.
Fire you best advice at me!
