Advise needed

hi all havent posted on here before just after abit of help, I'm looking to buy another drift car this weekend but at the same time me and the misses are also looking at buying a house which means iv got to be careful about how much I'm spending. Enitially I was looking at s14a as I have always loved them but speaking to my other half last night while looking for cars for a well specced car your looking at 6k ish, standard they are not far off of that for a clean one and it didn't go down to well when I said I wanted to go and look tomorow, the compromise in the end was find a cheaper car to use so it didn't eat to much into the house fund. I came across a few cheap e46 323 on eBay but iv read mixed reviews on how well they drift on a standard platform obviously coilovers welded diff etc will all be done once iv bought the car but what are people's experiences with these for drifters? Probably not the answer you are looking for but seems to me you're better off getting the house sorted first...that stuff always turns out to be more expensive and should be a higher priority.

Plus if you do the house for her you have more leverage when buying the car you really want
