Just been looking about last couple of month and has finally the ae86 settled down in price?

As people have come to realise there is more far better and cheaper drifters out there

Better drifters I would argue, cheaper drifters that's true. Perhaps supply and demand thing
 
I paid 3000 for an S13 that needed heaps invested still to make it draft-able. Heaps more to make it look decent.
If I went and did everything to renew it and upgrade it I would be some 20 grand in. FOr the money you could get a used, modern, good looking 350Z and upgrade it or a GT86.

If you are looking for these things to make sense just go find another hobby.
 
They've done anything but settle, I was watching one on ebay the other day, completely stock, sell for ten grand. As for better cars that depends, if BHP is your gauge of what's good then you're right.
