AE86 for sale.

astraboy

Yer, fookin' Volvoooo!
The time has come to sell my AE86. In the time I've owned it, I have maintained it regardless of cost, but I need to sell it to fund the drift conversion for the M3, so as much as I love it (despite the amount it has cost me) it has to go.
So! For sale,
Car is a B reg Levin finished in black and white.

Good points:
10 months MOT
3 months tax
Full safety devices cage (fitted with lagging)
Full stainless system from manifold to end
New bushes allround. Rear links & panhard rod.
Recently rebuilt engine, New water pump and Injector "O" ring seals fitted (full set from toyota) TRD Airfilter, Magnecor leads, S14 Radiator
Good compression engine with equally good oil pressure,
recently rebuilt diff by Julian smith of Watford Motorsport, diff rebuild included a brand new TRD two way LSD. Oil changed less than 100 miles after rebuild.
New paint job, All structural rust was fixed by last owner and further work was done by myself including Offside Trailing arm mounting point (a common area for rot) and a small section of transmission tunnel. No more structural rust left on car.
Fibreglass wings and boot
New battery,
Batterly relocated to behind passenger seat in motorsport spec battery holder.
Front and rear strutbraces
Delocked
Brand new tyres all round with further spare pair in boot (included)
late spec kouki bumpers,
Sparco Buckets and Sabelt harnesses.
SPAX rear adj. dampers
Front Koni's with SPAX springs
Windscreen replaced (no cracks)
Very light car
Car is 100% road legal and ready to drive away.

Bad points:
Some surface rust to arches and sills. No structural rust though, it flew through the MOT with just bulbs needing replacing and a dab of the welder to the transmission tunnel. Pockets and arches are all good with pictures available on request.

Wheels catch on the arches with two in the car, but thats because its so bloody low (-40mm springs and -1 coil on rear)

Ride quality is not so good, but it is a purpose built drift car. Its also a little noisy inside, but that is only becuase its fully stripped out.

I've tried to be as honest about the car as I can, but viewing is reccomended.

*this bit is especially for driftworks.co.uk*
Now, I'm well aware that this car has somewhat of a "Reputation" on here. I even considered not advertising it on here at all becuase of said reputation. However, you dont try to sell a dedicated drift car and not put it on the UK's biggest dedicated drift forum.

All I will say in the cars defence is that it came into my posession in a very sorry state. Externally it looked quite nice, but internally, electrically and mechanically it was very much wanting. So I made a list of each and every fault on the car and put them right. One after the other.

Those that have had the car before might have sorted the car out mechanically and externally, but now the car is complete. my work on the car was with the aim of rolling it into any MOT station and coming out with a pass. The current MOT is proof of that. I dont sell shit cars.

The car may not be perfect, it may not be a "Minter" but if you're looking for a FULLY sorted, highly competative 86 for not that much cash (relativley speaking) then this is the car for you.

Looking for 3500 OVNO. 3500 is what I paid for it before all the work I did on it. This work included:
Fitting new battery,
Fitting sun strip (no visors afterall),
Fitting Sparco horn pushes,
New waterpump,
New Injector "O" ring seals,
New drivers door window winder mechanism,
Fitting a washer bottle,
Fitting window washers,
FItting TRD airfilter,
Fitting new rear tyres and putting a spare set of rears in the boot,
Lagging up the cage (too many headaches otherwise)
Getting the Diff rebuilt
Fitting new TRD 2-way LSD while getting diff rebuilt,
Fitting new fuel tank (car no longer smells of fuel).
Right, Pictures!

Put it this way laaad, all Corolla diffs whine so they do.

Good luck with the sale Rhoderick. By the way, what rear hatch panel is that? Stocko with spoiler holes filled or some funky FRP shit? Looks cool.

certainly looks a minter and I'm sure it would go for more than that on the bay tbh. price actually seems pretty cheap.

good luck with the sale and another free bump i guess
