AE86 - What Zorst have u..?

Hi guys,
took a look at my ae86 exhaust and although the rear box looks new the rest of it looks as old as the car - so i was wondering what sort of system you guys are running - Have only seen an AE86 with 4 branch Janspeeds on them previously just wondering what other systems are out there ;)
 
Buddy Club Racing Spec II its a nice system for the cash but damn its loud on a N/A car.

but sound awsome on the turbo car. may looking to change for a quiet one. how about a racing spec III?? got to have 2 box.
 
You werent that quiet in those Birmingham city centre tunnels when on the limitter with the Bee-R :D good noise though!

Not quite like the Buddy Club exhaust but has a nice deep tone turning into a GREAT rasp up through the rev range... :thumbs:
 
Kenny: what year is ur AE86 actually??

I believe a D reg is 87' up to august but the AE86 wasnt made after march so is ur AE possibly late 87 or better still 88'??? :nod:
 
I run a Janspeed 4-1 manifold, joined to a custom made Stainless system! 2" bore, with twin boxes and 3.5" a jap style exit! Pretty bloody loud, but not too loud because when doing track days there are noise limits of usually 100db!
Mine measured 97.6 last time! Hope it wont get any louder with the 20 valve install! :D :p
 
I have a Trust/Greddy tubular manifold
T3 Cat replacement Pipe (only needed for JDM and USDM hachis)
Apexi N1 the rest of the way back.

You won't even hear the exhaust when you put a blacktop on open throttles in...

My 20valve is a silver top bottom end with a black top head!

If it sounds anything like my Weber 48's i had i will be mostly HAPPY! lol! :thumbs: :thumbs:
