Today I finally managed to get my hands on a AE86.

I went to see a car which was imported from Japan on Monday. Once I saw the car was a bit disappointed. It looked pretty ugly. It lacked an interior and was sprayed the most awful colour. Was about to walk away..

Further inspection showed the car was originally white but had NO rust or rot what so ever. It also had a after market LSD, zorst, filter and loads of other extra's.

I still was not convinced until I drove the car. OH MY GOD :worthy: :worthy: :worthy:, ive never driven anything like it. It was so feckin awesome. I pulled my deposit out and purchased the car. Ive never had that kinda rush in any car. Im in love..

But the car lacks the following
1) Front Spitter
2) Rear boot spoiler, has the strangest spoiler on the boot
3) interior (rear seats, carpets and other bits and bobs)
4) A paintjob :wack:

Im not bothered about the interior. No interior has some advantages, and I have a Bride seat, but I really do want the spitter, boot spoiler and paint job. I would really appreciate some help with a few questions.

- The car was originally white so I want it to be original again. Was a 1983 AE86 Levin totally white or was it white over black (like in initial D) ? Anybody have any pics of a original white AE86 ?
- How much is the approximate cost of spraying an AE86 ? What colour code do I need ? Anybody know a decent place near Manchester ?
- Where can I get a spitter and/or front bumper ? Maybe an aftermarker front spoiler will work out cheaper.

Pictures will be up later on this week. Its just getting regsitered at moment.
 
To the best of my knowledge all white Japanese spec AE86s were white/black. To see a car painted in the original colours go here:

the splitter should be available from Fensport, give them a call.

As for the paintjob, price depends on quality, are you having it done inside+out or just the outside? do you want the windows taken out to do it? I strongly suggest you go round your local area and get some quotes and see peoples work for yourself.
 
Ive just called Fensport and they have dont have any parts for AE86.
Also rang every specialist japanese breaker in auto trader with no luck.

Does anybody else know where I can get
Splitter
Rear Spoiler
Side Skirts
and any other AE86 parts ?
 
Are you just after standard parts? I may be intereseted in selling my factory side skirts as I have seen some others I like more just depends on how much they are going to cost me.

As for the spoiler and splitter check the forsale section on www.club4ag.com you can find copies of some of the best japanese kits for decent money specialy with the $-£ rate we have at the moment

My paint job cost me £1000 inside out and underneath but I did take it in fully stripped with only the suspension left on to push it around. It is a decent job and has lasted 2 years so far with no problems.

:worthy: Great never buy stuff originally for it way to expensive.

Paint job supra white 041 is nice for a AE86 but also 040 is good here in holland local Toyota shops have coloured paterns hanging all over the place with colour codes with it.

check it out what you like and spray the colour you want
