Another wheel question but........URGENT

NIGHTSPIRIT - 1st cousin!
My mate is just about to get some rims from japan off yahoo auctions.

its for a 1996 S14.....they are 8.5J x 18 for the front with +41mm offset and 9.5J x 18 for rear with +37 offset

How will these fit do you reckon? whats the std offset for this car

Thanks

Si

I think that it very :dermal: offset can run 17 by 9 with 20 offset with rolled arches, my GTR went on with 245/45 tyres and 5mm spacers with no rubbing so that seemed a bit in set wouldn't personnally go anything more than 30 offset on 9s around round

Yeah but they would need big spacers, I would leave those rims well alone to be honest, I had the same thing a while back and decided to leave it and am glad I did now

well the rims are awesome Work S1 3 pc splitties with big dish !

Also found another set with +35 front and +30 rear which will prob be better.

Big dish with the former offsets????
Would still need BIG spacers, depends on what look he is looking for :dermal: like I said my 30 offset 17 by 9 look nice on a standard S14 anything else wouldn't look as nice and anything more mad styling wise would :dermal: quickly

Yeah well Yods is looking at loads of rims and I've convinced him to get a set of proper ones from Japland !

and they are to fit in more or less standard arches which is why the higher offsets might be ok then space them out as required, with proper spacers and longer studs.

Well we got another set.......8J front with + 35mm and 9J rear with +30mm offset.

I think thats much better !!

So thats what he is gonna go for.

The prob is that he doesnt want to have to start bashing the arches about thats why we need slightly :dermal: offsets to do this !!

I had 9J +20 on the rear ok with 235's, no rubbing for a few days untill the tyre died in a blowout.

Standard arches, loads of body roll :wack:

ET41 and ET38 are RX7 (FD) fitment. going on a 9 and 10J rim you dont want less than +20mm. but but my reknin, ET7 and ET12 running 225 and 235 will go on a rolled standard arch (i.e no flaring but running decent camber... 35. front 2.0 rear)
