Apexi Fc sr20det base map!!

Hi just wondered if anyone can help me I've just fitted a apexi fc that's on a base map to my s15 and wondered if I could run the car without a remap til I get payed??
I just don't wanna melt my engine if its not safe!!
The spec is pretty much a stock sr20 full 3" exhaust 255ltr fuel pump,fmic,s14 t28 turbo with braided lines and stock injectors..
I'm hoping I could run the car to and from work until I get payed then have a remap and maybe get a new turbo afm and injectors before to get the most out of the remap. Any help would be greatly appreciated :) thanks kev :thumbs:

As the car was a NA s15 so just fitted a s14a engine and the ecu that come with the engine had nats alarm system on it so that's why I bought the apexi to get around the nats!!
 
Yeah I've heard there pretty shit but as long as it can get me to work for the rest of the month until I get payed thats cool thanks bud
 
I was gonna just run stock boost and drive as nice as I could til payday it's around a 13mile trip a day that's all it would be used for but if it's gonna kill the engine I'll just wait until it's mapped :-/
 
When I did mine I booked in at Protuner, sent him my ecu got a nistune and base map fitted the drive up there the following week.
 
Yeah I might phone up jez at hdev and see if there's any way he could tweak the base map so it would ok till I get it mapped properly
 
Use a jdm s14a stock ecu then.

No Nats to worry about.

You will need to repin a few at ecu plug, but will anyway just to use the fc
 
Do you know anyone with a stock JDM s14a ecu for sale?? As that would be a better option until I buy the rest of the goodies :-)
 
Stock car or stage 1 mods.... Yea it will be fine. It ain't gonna melt anytime soon. I drove mine like an idiot on the base map. Did it no harm.
 
No, it has what apexi call 'sporty setting' base map. It will plug and play a standard or light modded car.
