Are Duralumin Lugs safe for drifting?

Greetings, I would love to hear what people have to say about Duralumin Lug nuts. Recently picked up what I think is a rather pricey set from a company that is drift oriented. They look great, but people I know who seem to know their lug nuts are basically telling me that my wheels are going to fall off.

Best regards,

They're not unsafe if used properly. But I personally wouldn't recommend them for drifting based on the number of times wheels get changed etc. It's far easier to wear or strip an aluminium thread when changing wheels. Stick to quality steel nuts for this.

For street driving they'd be fine. Just make sure the threads on the studs are clean and sharp and use a torque wrench to tighten them to the proper spec.

Understandable thanks for that, as for keeping them clean and sharp would this entail using a wire brush on the studs and a wire brush inside the lug nuts too? The inside colors of the lug nuts are black and not silver so I assume it has an anodized finish.
