From the director of How We Do, Battle For The Creek documents the highs and lows experienced by the 6 drivers and teams that formed Team New Zealand Drift as they embarked on a campaign to win the Tectaloy International Drift Challenge held at Eastern Creek Raceway as part of the 2011 World Time Attack event in, Sydney, Australia.
The unique eye catching film style of the 18 year old director captures the spirit, passion and determination of Team New Zealand, as well as further highlighting the skills and professionalism of New Zealand Motorsport on a global scale.
Team New Zealand featured an impressive lineup of top D1NZ drivers including Red Bull Pro Athlete Mad Mike in his flame spitting 4-Rotor RX7, Fanga Dan in the Juice Polishes V8 Commodore, 3x D1NZ Champion Gaz Whiter in the Tectaloy Nissan S14, Bardahl & NAC backed Daynom Templeman in his RX7, Cole Armstrong in the popular V Energy Drink R34 Skyline and of course the man who flew the kiwi flag with pride, Curt Whittaker in the Rolling Addiction R34 Skyline.
Curt Whittaker won the drift challenge title after a dramatic final re-run with fellow kiwi Daynom Templeman, creating an impressive kiwi 1-2 finish on Australian soil with a total of 4 New Zealand drivers finishing inside Top 10 leaving the Aussie rivals speechless and in awe of the skill and talent NZ had brought to the competition.
Sit back and enjoy 45 minutes of thrilling drift footage and high octane motorsport as Eastern Creek Raceway is turned into a battleground of darkness, hosting a unique test match between 2 rival nations infront of an international audience.
