I love these things, my grandad had a black, a couple of white and a red one over the years, they were all GTE I think. He rolled the white one and ended up in a ditch upside down, he walked away unscathed, brilliant under appreciated cars.

yes it has potential now xmas is out the way get started on it hopefullyget some updates postedover the next week or two

If you haven't caught on to it yet, the 1.8 gearbox is pretty rare and valueable! It makes a C20XE or C20LET swap in the old Mantas/Asconas/Kadett an almost bolt on one. Paired with the engine mounts, prop, sump and pickup it is a bolt on swap in Manta and Ascona B's. A pretty popular swap so make sure to get what it's worth for those parts ;)

A V8 would be awesome in that car! The BMW unit is a pretty big lump, if you are choosing between Lexus and BMW I'd recommend the Lexus. If memory serves it's a bit narrower.

I chose an Audi engine for my Kadett for that reason, and becouse it's short. (in fact, Audi's V10 engines are about the same length as a small block ford engine) Hard to find smaller DOHC V8's than Audis! Makes for different challenges but.. Atleast I didn't need to cut up the engine bay :)

thanks mate box section in the sill is to tie into the pillar wich is a problem area on these and the inner pillar is not available as a replacement panel but theres an outer cover that is
