Best Clutch?

Well after totally frying my clutch at Bovingdon and crawling home on the bloody thing, I guess I need a new one.

Recommendations, needs to be strong but be comfortable enough for day to day, and London's stop start traffic.

Dan from SRBPower recommended the RPS Sport Puk clutch for me, rated to 340lbft and has really good pedal feel, apparently as good as OEM. Haven't bought it [yet] because I don't have the money, and I'm going to try changing the fluid first.

On offer here with Fidanza lightweight flywheels, but it's a pricey combo :(

Sounds like what I have got in mine now... Cant reccomend it highly enough for "normal" pedal feel.... Its a little bit sharper, but the weighting is almost as light as OEM :)

Haw haw, come here and say your traffic is bad  :wack:

Sorry to inturrupt all the clutch talk... I'd actually like to know some decent names too... All we get here are crap bits... ACT, etc...

When I used to "live" in Ottawa the traffic was non existant! I always wished London was more like it!

I've gone for an RPS clutch, but other good ones are:

AP
Exedy
Helix
LUK
Nismo
ACT
Blue Print
Cusco
OS Giken
HKS
Blitz
Ogura

ACT are not good then?

I was talking with a well known supplier who told me that he'd be getting ACT stuff in over the next week or so, which I was going to try. The price is significantly lower than AP etc. but not much less than RPS stuff.

What have you heard?

Toronto is where 'its' at for traffic :smash:

Maybe ACT is good, I know that the pressure plate is an OEM plate with 'different' part numbers... But the disc is their own as far as I know...

I always thought, that when/if I get an SR, I will get either Nismo or Exedy... Top of my list personally, bit costly though :wack:
