Hi , Im just looking for opinions whats the best way to treat underbody rust , especially if we thinking for keeping car forever/long time .

I know lanoguard is cheapest option along with KROWN treatment , but as far as i heard all they do its just cover current rust with nice shiny oil/paint and essentially it does nothing

Another option is to go to proper rust treatment shop where they clean everything, put rust converter then nice black paint and end result is really nice
However my question is , is i a proper fix or its one of those things that i can brag about it now but 5 years later , everything will be rottened?

Third option , i did quick maths is probably arround £2000 ( majority is labour cost ) , to pull both subframes off, tranny off , powder coat , or some sort of different coating , clean entire body, paint it. As with my thinking you would get into pretty much every area of the car with subframes off .

Personally l prefer products like Lanoguard mainly because they are not permanent and don't seal in corrosion like underseals can do.
I would NEVER buy a car that has been recently undersealed, professionally or not.
Factory underseal or nothing on my cars.

Except a lot of older Jap stuff wasn't undersealed from the factory, so they got done when they were imported here, sometimes it was done by the company importing.
