Birmingham wheels coming to an end??

Had a brilliant day at wheels today but during the briefing there was mention of it all ending in a few years, it's a great little track and there's always a good turn out, whys it being stopped??

Lease is running out on the venue, houses will be being built there. Unless us drifters can buy the venue from the council lol

Maybe driftworks should buy the venue as a business enterprise......go on.....

The wheels complex has been under threat from developers for the last 5-10 years. Council almost every year say its going up for sale as its worth to much money and then last another, but who really knows.

One day they will probably have there way but until then keep using it. Could be this year could be next, might never happen.

but that area is a shit hole.so unless they buy freightliner and the 200 scrap yards along the road I cant see anyone wanting to buy a house/flat along that way.

Very true. Heard that the development that has begun down near the roundabout could well be due to move towards the venue tho, so maybe the council do have a plan.

In all honesty if wheels gets closed I'm not sure I would fancy travelling further away, so I can blame Birmingham city council for an increase in streeto near where I live.

Yes I know streeto is bad and every time a roundabout gets drifted a cute puppy gets shot blah blah blah
