I tried doing a photoshop of it, but couldn't get the glossy look, it looked dull.
Been quoted £160 to refurb them in black, or I could have a go at it myself :D

Id probably do em Matt or Satin finish? You can do it yourself, but alot of the time, the paint doesnt stick quite well enough and may come off quite quickly... Having said that, i always do mine myself..

Umm I'm gonna have to test all the different blacks...well shades/finishes whatever you want to call them :p

black withh look great, but not gloss!

go with a matt finsh,

like a black OZ wheels come with,

it has a name begining with A,

i just can't spell it :D

or get them dimond cut :p

Just primer and satin black them, mate.

I thought I'd try something different yesterday and flouro pinked my wheels  I don't know what I was thinking, and I'm glad I only did the one side. I wanted to change from the black and was going to try bronze, but had a brain fart in Halfords:D

Now, where's the rest of that black I had?

painted the front grille on my MB satin black... looks really good. Halfords do their own "generic" satin black that works really well, and they have some good non-glossy alloy-wheel laquer too which would protect it a bit more

I wreckon satin black with diamond-cut/polished rim

I refurbed my wheels myself, and its as good as new :) It took me a few days, but my wheels were realy all messed up (13 years old, and probably never washed, driven in winter...) Here is the result. If you need instructions i can write a detailed howto :)

Here are the pics. You have to scroll down to get to the wheels.

That would be ace, I did a set on my old 205 but the paint did start to crack after a while so a nice how to would be very helpful :D

I hear you can also get wheels powder coated
you'd need to sort out any dings or scratches yourself, but you wouldn't need to sand them down or anything, cos they acid dip them to get all the old paint off first....

Was that the way you did the ones you sold me? They seem to be pretty good really, theres some bits peeling a bit but i do give them alot of abuse.

There's a place I've been recommended in Birmingham that'll powder coat wheels for £15 each. :)

I fully intend on getting mine done sometime soon, I think a gunmetal colour would be nice, or maybe even black.
