UPDATED!!!!!

I have never been in either car so cant comment on mechanical condition, I had a quick look around the body and I can say that theres no rust to see on the BMW and that the Carlton look a bit sorry for its self! :wack:

quite a barge, think they weigh around 1700kg! maybe 1500kg when stripped since its gonna be full of electric bollocks that can be gotten rid of, will have to check if its a manual. but also the mileage mean the suspension could well be terrible and bushings worn and the engine tired (all guess work, it may be immaculate). for £700 you may be able to find a slightly easier drift car but try it, it could be cool :D

The carlton is the better beginners car. There were rounds of the Irish d1 won in them last year.

VERY interested in the Carlton.
Kev, ask tom to switch on his phone please ;)
Ta,
astraboy.

Have you got hold of him yet?

He works nights at the docks which could be why the phone is off?

just tried to call him.
Didnt get much sense out of him, think I woke him up tbh:)
I'll try again later.

Oops! I called him about an hour or so ago, apparently he is somewhere in Scotland (without cars) and has crap signal.

He said he had a voicemail with a number but his phone cuts in and out when he is listening to it so isn't sure what it is! Could you text him so that he definitely has your number?

Also, ask about a deal on both cars, you might be VERY interested in what he says!

right, just tried him again, with no reply. lleft another message.
Kev, I will be using this car for the scumball rally and its next week, I need to get the car prepared in time, would you be bale to put him in touch with me, I've PM'd you my number.
If you could help out I'd be very grateful, I'm running out of time.
Cheers,
astraboy.

Cool!

Don't mean this in a negative way but do your normal mechanical checks on the car, it's probably great but I just don't want to be blamed if it's a shitter! :wack:

But then again as I said previously, it's £100! :D

innit mate, all it has to do is cope with 4 days of continental driving @140mph, lots of donuts and frequent injections of N20 and I'll be a happy bunny.
If it can cope with that, it can cope with anything and if it dont blow up, I might keep it!

Dont mean to be mean, but Ive seen straight 12vs go for that on ebay is all.
Still love ma caltons.... I do drive one after all! ;)

At the end of the day, a car for £100 is a car for £100./..... everybody is happy :)

BTW the happy buyer can visit http://www.totalcarlton.com *cough* plug *cough*

yeah i know they're worth nothing, I just think it'd be cool to race a corroding pile of crap around france, besides, the budget is 500 quid maximum, instead of us paying 250 a piece me and my co-driver are only paying 50!
Cool site btw :)
