1989 BMW 535i SE in LachsSilver with just over 150,000 miles on the clock which is about 60,000 miles less than average. It comes with tons and tons of service history and receipts, with a handful of previous MOTs. Many of the receipts date back to 1989. It has BMW service history up to 75,000 miles and a whole booklet of receipts up to present mileage.
The 3.5 litre straight 6 engine runs very sweetly and pulls like it should through every gear. You can really tell this engine has been well serviced. These engines are renowned for being bulletproof and I'm sure this example will go on for another 100,000 plus. The engine has had a chip fitted which improves the performance massively without effecting the fuel consumption too much. I've driven plenty of BMW's with this engine and none of them pull anywhere near as well as this one does. It has a Scorpion stainless steel exhaust fitted which isn't loud at all, it just complements the 6 cylinder sound. One of the best points of this car for me is the fact it's a manual. 90% of 535's are automatics making this one quite rare and a joy to drive. It selects all the gears as it should without any crunches, hesitation or whining. Also, the car has a Limited Slip Differential (LSD) which improves the handling very well and ensures a very smooth drive. Also, it has been lowered on Eibach springs, which makes the car look and handle a lot better without effecting the ride quality at all.
The bodywork is in excellent condition. The paintwork is in good condition and polishes up really well. It has fully colour coded bumpers all the way around with colour coded sills. The car also has a M5 rear spoiler fitted. It has clear indicators and side repeaters fitted which makes the front end look fresher and more modern. It has front fogs fitted also. It has headlight and fog washer jets which all work perfectly and aren't blocked. At the rear it has clear and red rear lights which again, really freshen up the rear, giving it a more up to date look. It has E39 M5 alloy wheels fitted with 4 good tyres.
The interior is also in very good condition with full black leather fitted which is in good condition with only slight wear and cracks, this can be solved with some leather conditioner. The bolster is in good condition, with no holes, rips or tears. There are also armrests in the front for both the driver and passenger. It has a MTECH I steering wheel fitted. It has 4 electric windows, electric sunroof, electric and heated mirrors, it also has heated door locks. The car has dual climate control, meaning you can have heat going to the passenger and cold air for the driver or visa versa. There are also heater vents in the rear for the rear passengers. There is an On Board Computer telling you the outside temperature, average and instant MPG, range left in the fuel tank, average speed, stopwatch, you can even set a limit on the speed which beeps every time you go over that speed, plus loads more features.
It comes fitted with a Pioneer head unit which is connected to a Pioneer 8 CD changer which is located in the boot. It has 2x 10" JL Audio subs and 6x9's in the boot. This is a stealth build which is very good because it doesn't look chavvy in any way, just giving you a nice sounding modern sound system. There is also a Cat1 full closure alarm and immobiliser. It will close all 4 windows and the sunroof while locking all the doors and boot.
The car is Taxed and MOTed until September. It has recently had a new clutch fitted, a new power steering pump and the head gasket was also done.
