BMW E30 318i Cheap Daily Drifter £550

Black 1990 BMW E30 318i (115bhp)

I bought this car in February as I needed a daily and wanted to get a taste of RWD. Now up for sale as I'm putting my other car back on the road and cant afford to run both.

The car has sub 100k miles, has been used daily since I bought it and proved to be very economical and reliable.

MOT until March 2013
Taxed until August 2012
V5 and some paperwork/invoices/previous MOTs included

The paintwork is not great as I never gave it the polish it needs. There are a few small dents on the rear doors and minor damage on the front n/s corner and rear o/s corner. Theres a rust patch on the bottom of the rear valance but otherwise the shell is rust free and completely solid with no signs of previous welding.

It has been lowered 40mm all round on bilstein springs and shocks. The central locking does not work and so the drivers side door can only be locked from the inside.

I have fitted a brand new o/s wishbone with new ball joints, new o/s track rod end, new o/s lollipop wishbone bushing and new steering column coupling. With the car will come a new n/s lollipop bushing and new n/s wishbone balljoints (one of which needs to be pressed back out of a dud wishbone).

The tracking was done last week

I learnt to drift in it and after my first drift day I removed most of the interior and fitted front cobra bucket seats on original E30 seat rails, and a 3 point OMP harness on the drivers side. I have drifted it a couple of times since and it drifts well and the clutch does not slip.

I have fitted a black leather momo steering wheel on e30 boss and wired the horn up to a button on the centre console. There is no head unit as I borrowed one from my other car but the front speakers are still in place and work well, and the rear speakers are still on the parcel shelf which is included. Also included is a rear anti roll bar and a spare front anti roll bar.

The car is fitted with working front electric windows and rear disc brakes

Ive fitted a welded diff from a 318is and it will come with the original 318i 'open' diff as well

I have everything I stripped out, undamaged, ready to go back in should anyone want to return to standard. The only thing I threw away was the cabin carpet as I ran out of storage space. The front splitter is no longer on the car but I do have it, undamaged.

I began removing the headlight wipers as it looks better without. These seem to sell for crazy money on ebay but I never got round to removing the relay and wiring so will leave them with the car.

The ABS light on the dash has come on but the brakes work fine and no leaks in the system so I have no looked into the cause.

I used bits of exhaust from the breakers to make up my own exhaust system from the middle silencer back as I was borrowing a welder and wanted to learn how to do it. I still have the the original exhaust backbox which is in great condition as it was a recently replaced pattern part. Only two bolts and 5 mins to swap the exhaust back over if its not to your taste.

I have a total of 15 wheels (all 14") all in good condition and all fitted with tyres-
5 x silver bottle caps bmw alloys, one is slightly buckled but still holds air
5 x silver steels, one of which is brand new with a brand new tyre fitted
2 x black steels
2 x black bottle cap bmw alloys

the tyres -
4 on the car are all 195/65 with plenty of tread
4 of the spares have loads of tread (1 brand new)
1 spare has plenty of tread and holds air but has a cut in the sidewall so was put in the 'to be drifted' pile
5 spares are on or below the legal limit
(spares asre a mix of 195/65 & 195/60)

I did consider splitting it up as i have the original interior, but if they help sell the car I would rather it all went together. Depending on what the eventual buyer wants from the car I may be able to sell them separate, in which case I will PM you
