BMW E36 325ci Coupe Build

Hi everyone and welcome to the built of my first ever drift car. This car is kind of built to a little bit of a budget as i am only 20. At this point i would like to say a MASSIVE thank you to Marcin Mucha (One of the members of Team Scotdrift in the BDC) at Marcin Auto Centre in Dundee as the car was made possible with a lot of his help.

First of all, the car started off life as a 323ci.

Interior before everything got ripped out

The new Corbeau seats and Sparco harnesses

Thought i would start to take things out that i don't need

Pretty much done

Start taking out any unwanted wires etc

Alarm is ready for the bin

Traction and ABS unplugged

The making on my custom seat bases

First seat and harness is in

Getting there (Other seat is now fitted but no pictures yet)

Still need to cut out spare wheel well

Now heres a thing that you guys might like. Im a CNC engineer and i decided to make myself a custom steering wheel boss. Here is how it started:

Fitted to the car. Its a shame that its tucked away behind there

Old engine all slung up and disconnected from everything

Out with the old overheating 323 engine

Still has more power than a Nissan Micra

The new 2.5 litre straight 6

Left the rear spring adjusters out to make it that little bit lower haha

Low and ready to go for its first bit of sideways action

Just seconds away from its first skid

Not quite sideways but its the only pic i have haha

I have not got a picture of the diff but its a diff from a 316 that i welded up so it spins up really quick. Had to get longer half shafts and a longer propshaft too. I have been learning without the use of a hydraulic handbrake but i do have one that has yet to be fitted.
