BMW e46 318i Catch Can Install Issues

Hi everyone.

It looks like i cannot get any help from any other BMW specif forum's as not many of them modify their cars.

Anyways, i had some issues with the CCV system my car so i installed a catch can with a PCV inline to the catch can. Now, the biggest issue i am having is how fast the catch can is filling up. For example, after approx 500 miles it could be full. so i am emptying it all the time which in turn is making me use a lot of oil.

I have also tried running a line back to the sump as this is how the orginal set up was done. This stops the oil consumption, however i get a lot of moisture build up in the catch can, so i am sending a creamy mixture of oil and condensation back into the sump which is doing no good for my engine.

I know these engine do get some condensation inside the crankcase which is also not helping the catch can.

So, im either thinking there is something wrong with the engine because the amount of oil being passed through. Or if this normal for these cars, then how can i stop the condensation build up in the catch can so i can run it back to the sump with out contaminating the good engine oil.

I hope someone here can help me.

thanks very much

Mark
