Hello,
I want to know from you what your experiences are with M60 gearboxes. Which option did you choose and why?
I run a 4.4L M60 with 820NM and killed the original 6spd V8 gearbox yesterday. Shifted under full load and now it's stuck in 3rd gear.
The options
-Buy a new expensive 6spd V8
-530d 5spd (would be the Right tooth profile for my 2 Disc Clutch but how does it work with Pilot bearing?)
-530d 6spd (easy because full kit available, but i can throw away my 1 day old Clutch Discs)
-5 spd V8
Are there any other Options? Tell me what you choosed.
