NOW £300 FOR A BRAND NEW LAPTOP, BARGAIN!

Hi guys, I have a brand new HP Pavilion Laptop for sale

It's the G62-A14SA, 1.86GHz with 15.6 Inch Display model. The chip is the p6000 which is dual core.

I thought I would advertise it here before i put it on ebay. I have taken the laptop out of the box to make sure it is working and as expected everything is working (the laptop has not been registered yet and hs been out of the box for about 10 minutes and is now back in the box and sealed up)

The laptop arrived yesterday morning, but due to unforseen circumstances i.e my s15 being hit from behind by some tosser, i now need to sell this to recoup some costs.

As you can see from the documentation with this laptop (see pics) it costs 399.95.

for a quick sale im asking 300 pound plus delivery (NOW OPEN TO SENSIBLE OFFERS)

here's where the item was bought from and the spec:

Because i have turned the laptop on to check to see if everything was workig correctly and because there is no fault with the laptop i have just simply changed my mind, they will not allow me to take it back

Do you think the price i have advertised it for is too much?

i thought £50 off the rrp price was pretty good if someone was on the lookout for a new laptop

mate I work at John Lewis & they will take it back, company policy! you've got 28 days to change your mind buddy. Not like JL at all for them to not take it back open handed.

hey Dude found this on the John Lewis web page for you its there returns policy, you have 28 days to return it, even if you have used it:

Refund policy
We hope you'll be pleased with your purchase. If you should change your mind, and wish to return anything bought from johnlewis.com or our shops, we'll be happy to refund or exchange a product providing it's in fully resaleable condition. Returns should be made within a reasonable time (usually 28 days) and in original, undamaged packaging.* Please see below for exceptions to this policy.

When you buy online or by phone, you have additional rights as a consumer under the Distance Selling Regulations. This means if you as the purchaser notify us in writing of your wish to return an item within 7 working days of receiving it, we’ll refund you for both the purchase price and the delivery charge. Please make sure you take reasonable care of the item while it's in your possession, and that it's returned to us unused. Find out more here.

If the product returned is not in fully resaleable condition or the packaging is damaged, we do reserve the right to refuse a refund on the item, or deduct up to 20% of the original selling price from the refund amount. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Refunds can only be made to the original card of purchase. Refunds to a card other than the original can only be processed under the following circumstances:

The original account no longer exists
The original account details have expired
The order has been placed exclusively with gift vouchers
The recipient requires a credit
Products we're unable to refund or exchange
Unless they're faulty*, we're unable to offer a refund or exchange on:

personalised or made-to measure/order goods
perishable goods such as food, plants or flowers
unsealed CDs, DVDs, tapes or other recording media, software or video

as said above the only problem you might have is its not still sealed if the security tag thing has been opened so you might end up only getting store credit

Cheers for the advise will give them a ring. Store credit would be no good to me though. Fingers crossed on a refund.

Thanks guys

argh! John lewis will not give me cash back for the lappy so it's back up for sale. If anyone can give me £300 notes for the laptop they can have it, bargain! brand new bought 6 days ago £100 cheaper than if you were to buy it.

i'm losing out on this but i need the cash

thanks
